Patrick Meeusen

My name is Patrick Meeusen and I have been practicing shooting sports since 1985.

Started at a shooting club in Amsterdam, shooting from a box, participating in club competitions where prizes were regularly won.

But after about 13 years, the boredom set in and I actually shot less and less.

Fortunately, there was someone at our club who shot at a high level course and once I came into contact with it I never let go.

Got my NPSA license in 1998 and started shooting as many matches as possible.

By moving to a club outside Amsterdam, where the training level was much higher, my results improved by leaps and bounds and I achieved A class status in 2003, which was very difficult at the time due to the large number of good open shooters.

Over the years (and to this day) still the A class status; won some matches, a lot of 2nd and 3rd places and pretty much always been in the top 6 of the Netherlands with the best result 4th!

Also not unimportant is that I have been involved in the classification competitions at my own club since 2002; drawing internships and building them.

Unfortunately due to busy work, the offer for the Dutch team had to decline several times, but was included in the selection for the European Championship in Portugal in 2013 and in the Team for the World Cup in Florida 2014.

All team training sessions done with the best archers in the Netherlands, which of course you learn a lot from.

In addition, many foreign competitions were shot, especially in the Czech Republic (extreme) Germany and Belgium as well as all Dutch championships.

In 2012, I was first asked to guide the NPSA basic course which was a brand new positive part of course shooting for me!

I actually found out that I really enjoy coaching and teaching new shooters with the reward of getting their NPSA license.

Over the years I have had the pleasure of guiding a few hundred archers to get their license and see them later on as an enthusiastic archer at the competitions.

In addition to the basic course of the NPSA, I also give individual training courses and I want to do more on this via this site.

I must say that I have always received positive reactions to my teaching.

With and because of this huge bucket of years of experience and the great pleasure of teaching I started this site / shooting school.

I hope that through my experience and knowledge, but especially my enthusiasm for the sport, I can guide many novice archers.

I understand better than anyone what it is like to do the NPSA basic course, and therefore know exactly what is asked of the novice shooter.

It's not just the shooting but the camaraderie that connects trail shooters around the world.

I look forward to seeing you at one of our courses.
